Provision of technical orthopaedics

Orthopaedic technology focuses on supplying prosthetics for people who have had a lower or upper limb amputated following an accident. Our expertise in this area has been recognised both at home and abroad for more than 45 years.

The supply of orthotic aids is an ever-growing sector that attracts a high level of dedication. The range of orthopaedic options that we provide is based on the various different demands that the aids need to withstand, which are ascertained on the basis of medical diagnoses and the needs of the people affected.

Our technical orthopaedic workshop regularly makes use of the full range of orthopaedic technology options available. This includes the socket technique (anchoring the prosthesis in the amputation stump) as well as various prosthetic components such as knee joints and feet. The aim in every case is to give patients an aid that will allow them to return to as normal a life as possible.

You can find more information about prosthetics in our "Amputation der unteren Extremität" brochure  (only in german) PDF (520 kb). This is also available in printed form (only in german).

Silicone technology

Another specialist area is the treatment of people who have suffered burns. Bellikon Rehabilitation Clinic has established itself as a centre of excellence in this field in German-speaking Switzerland. As one of the few technical orthopaedic facilities in Switzerland, Bellikon Rehabilitation Clinic has the opportunity to process silicone in all kinds of ways. This technology is particularly suited to cosmetic finger, partial handa nd underarm prostheses, as well as for treating severe scars and burns.
