"Rehabilitative ergonomics" includes, among other things, drawing up a performance profile of a person for comparison with a requirements profile for a certain type of work. If required, goal-oriented work conditioning and work hardening will be carried out, which also includes training in safe and efficient work techniques. Rehabilitative ergonomics does not focus on medical, diagnostic or curative issues, but rather on a biopsychosocial strategy to optimise function and performance oriented to the final goals of the patient.
