Rehabilitation Concept

Rehabilitation treatment in our specialist clinic serves several purposes depending on individual requirements:
This requires a combination of medical, social, didactic and technical measures. For this reason, the rehabilitation teams under the direction of medical specialists at the Bellikon Rehabilitation Clinic are composed of specialists from a wide range of professional groups. At the beginning of the rehabilitative treatment, the patients will undergo initial examinations by staff members from various specialities. For this purpose, we use the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) of the World Health Organization, among other things. This facilitates the precise documentation of the patients' medical problems as well as other significant circumstances in their lives. Based on this information, our rehabilitation team develops a proposal for the goals to be set as well as the planned duration of the treatment. We discuss this proposal with the patient and file it in our electronic dossier. Subsequently, we offer the patient the individually selected therapeutic measures required to achieve the agreed goals. Inpatient therapies usually comprise several hours of individual and group therapy per day. The rehabilitation team and the patient meet at regular intervals to evaluate the patient's progress in his therapy and to discuss adaptation of the therapeutic measures if required. Before therapy is concluded, planning for the period following the patient's discharge is done in consultation with the patient, taking into account the goals that have been achieved during therapy. |
